The NFL legend Gayle Eugene Sayers (May 30, 1943 - September 23, 2020) was an American professional footballer who could play  as a halfback and return specialist in the National Football League  (NFL). During the NFL's his career was short but highly productive, Gayle Eugene Sayers  played seven seasons with the Chicago Bears between 1965 and 1971, although many injuries lasted five seasons. He was known for being fast and easy and was considered the toughest player  to face.

He was Born in Wichita, Kansas, and braught up in Omaha, Nebraska, Gale Eugene Sayers father's name was  Roger Winfield Sayers and mother's name Bernice Ross. His father was working as a mechanic in Goodyear, and he was a farme r, and worked for auto dealerships so. Sayers' younger brother, Ron, later played running back for the San Diego Chargers of the American Football League. Roger, his older brother, was a decorated college track and field athlete.Gale Sayers completed his graduation from Omaha Central High School, where he starred in football and track and field. He was a amazing all-around track athlete, he made a state Record in long jump  of 24 ft 101⁄2 innch(7.58m) as a senior in 1961
